Each car axle of an iV car works with a separate electric engine. This means there is no need for an inter-axle clutch, which in conventional cars usually needs an oil change every 2 years.

In conventional cars, this procedure is usually needed every 60,000 km or 120,000 km. In iV cars, there is no need to change the oil since the electric motor doesn’t require gearbox and delivers maximum torque from zero speed.

In diesel engine cars like the KODIAQ, the timing belt needs to be replaced after 210,000 km. However, this change becomes irrelevant in iV cars as they have no such part.
