The power of electricity

Battery electric vehicles rely solely on electric motors for propulsion. They derive their electricity primarily from charging points and store it in powerful battery packs. The key benefits of electric vehicles are that they emit no emissions and run silently.

Hybrid models

Hybrid models combine a classic internal combustion engine with an electric motor and batteries. Depending on the degree of hybridisation, we distinguish between several types of hybrids, including plug-in hybrids.

Plug-in hybrid (PHEV)

Plug-in hybrids combine a classic internal combustion engine with an electric motor which can be recharged from an electrical outlet. The PHEV can be driven in pure electric mode, but the range is limited. The result is low fuel consumption and a quiet electric drive, especially around the city.

Vision iV (2019)

The all-electric Vision iV provides a preview of our new upcoming model. The four‑door crossover coupé impresses with sporty, emotive lines and exudes a feeling of spaciousness. A dynamic driving experience is ensured by all-wheel drive and two electric motors outputting 225 kW. The car has a maximum range of 500 km in the WLTP cycle.

From concept to production

In 2017, the Škoda Vision E concept charted the course that Škoda Auto would take in eMobility. The next step was the Škoda Vision iV study, unveiled in Geneva two years later. Since then, new all-electric and hybrid models have been expanding Škoda's model portfolio.
