THE ALL-NEW ŠKODA KAROQ UNLEASHED

The All-New ŠKODA KAROQ was revealed to the world for the very first time in Stockholm on May 18. One of the year’s most anticipated automotive unveilings was being hosted on a special LIVE stream, so you could bear witness to this unique event.

ŠKODA KAROQ - The car with arrow

The ŠKODA KAROQ is a completely new compact SUV. The name and its spelling originate from the language of the Alutiiq, an indigenous tribe who live on an island off the southern coast of Alaska. The name KAROQ is a combination of the terms ‘KAA’RAQ’ (car) and ‘RUQ’ (arrow).

The emotive and dynamic design with numerous crystalline elements characterises ŠKODA’s new SUV design language. As a true ŠKODA, the ŠKODA KAROQ offers exceptional space in the interior and boot, new driver-assistance systems, Full LED headlights and – for the first time in a ŠKODA – a digital instrument panel.

The front is characterised in particular by the geometrically shaped headlights with precise contours.

The long wheelbase is easily visible in the side view and points to the generous interior.

The side is characterised by short overhangs at the front and rear, the sloping roofline and the tapered rear.

The crystalline cut of the full-LED headlights and the eight light strips.

The infotainment building blocks offer state-of-the-art functions, interfaces and are equipped with capacitive touch displays.

The new compact ŠKODA SUV comes with electronic parking brake as standard; all-wheel-drive and 7-speed DSG are optional.

The tail lighting with LED technology includes the rear lights, brake lights and fog lights.

4,382 mm long, 1,841 mm wide, 1,605 mm high, wheelbase of 2,638 mm and legroom of 68 mm gives the KAROQ a comfortable stance on the road.

The Off-road mode with all-wheel-drive improves the driving characteristics on rough terrain.

A WLAN hotspot and an LTE module are available. The new mobile online services ŠKODA Connect and the SmartLink+ platform are compatible.

With the VarioFlex rear seats, the boot space is between 479 and 588 litres. The seats can also be removed, a maximum loading capacity of 1,810 litres.

Parking assistant, Lane Assist, Traffic-jam assistant. Blind Spot Detect, Front Assist with predictive pedestrian protection, Emergency Assistant...

The 2 petrol engines and 2 diesels are new in the line-up. The displacement are 1.0, 1.5, 1.6 and 2.0 litres; the power is from 85 kW (115 hp) to 140 kW (190 hp).

The freely programmable digital instrument panel is available to the driver's individual wishes.

Full LED headlights with clear-lens optics are available as an option for the ŠKODA KAROQ.
